Dr Natasha Patel is a consultant in Diabetes/Endocrinology with an interest in complex diabetes. She previously worked at Guys and St Thomas’ and was the Clinical Lead in Business Development and International – a unique role that enabled her to combine her medical knowledge with her executive MBA. Recently she has moved to Epsom Hospital so she can provide complex diabetes care locally and spend more time with her family.
Dr Patel’s recent experience in working frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of holistic management to health which encouraged her to complete her training in functional medicine with the IFM in 2021. Dr Patel has extensive experience in managing Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, diabetes complications and has a keen interest in the functional medicine approach to managing hypothyroidism. She has written articles and presented on the functional medicine approach to managing hypothyroidism.
