Nutritional Therapy at Mosaic Medical

Nutritional therapy is an integral part of the personalised care pathway at Mosaic Medical. Jessica, the clinic’s Registered Nutritional Therapist, works closely with all of the doctors to provide evidence-informed dietary and lifestyle support that complements each patient’s medical treatment. She brings twelve years of clinical experience and advanced training, with a particular focus on the relationship between food, metabolism, digestion, immunity, and long-term health.

Nutritional therapy is most effective when delivered over time. Although patients are welcome to book a single consultation, Jessica’s clinical experience shows that the most meaningful improvements often occur between the second and third consultations. For this reason, Mosaic Medical also offers consultation packages for patients who would like more structured, ongoing support.

How Nutritional Therapy Complements Medical Care

Jessica’s role is to enhance the work of Mosaic Medical’s doctors by supporting the body’s natural systems at every stage of the care pathway. Her recommendations can help improve digestive function, modulate inflammation, balance blood glucose, support cardiovascular health, and promote metabolic resilience. When nutritional therapy sits alongside medical care, patients often experience greater symptom relief, improved treatment tolerance, and stronger long-term outcomes.
She supports a wide range of clinical presentations, from digestive and hormonal issues to cardiometabolic, immune-related, and complex chronic conditions. All guidance is personalised and carefully aligned with each patient’s medical plan.

Specialist Support within the Breast Cancer Service

Jessica plays a significant role within Mosaic Medical’s Breast Cancer Service and works closely with Dr Amy Walker to support patients throughout their treatment and recovery. Nutrition forms an important part of recurrence risk reduction, metabolic stability, immune balance, and overall resilience. Dietary patterns rich in phytonutrients, fibre, healthy fats, and plant diversity have been associated with improved treatment tolerance and quality of life during chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and Jessica translates this evidence into practical, achievable strategies.
She supports patients with maintaining weight and muscle mass, managing digestive changes, stabilising energy levels, navigating appetite fluctuations, and adapting food choices throughout treatment. Her approach is empathetic, personalised, and grounded in up-to-date scientific evidence.

Jessica offers structured support for patients using a Continuous Glucose Monitor. She helps individuals interpret their glucose patterns and adjust their food choices to support metabolic stability, energy, hormone balance, and long-term health. CGM guidance can be particularly helpful for those managing insulin resistance, perimenopause, metabolic dysfunction, or weight changes.
Jessica also supports patients who are using GLP-1 agonists as part of their medical treatment. These medications influence appetite, digestion, and metabolic regulation, which means nutritional guidance can improve comfort and outcomes. Jessica helps patients maintain adequate nutrient intake during appetite suppression, manage common digestive side effects, and adopt sustainable eating patterns while leveraging the metabolic benefits of treatment. Her focus is on supporting cardiovascular health, blood sugar balance, and long-term habit formation in a way that complements each patient’s medical plan.

FAQs (Online Nutritional Therapy)

Is nutritional therapy really effective online?
Yes. Assessment, education, planning and most follow-up are perfectly suited to virtual care. When needed, we’ll coordinate local labs or at-home test kits.
Only if results will change your plan. Tests will generally be ordered by the Mosaic doctor who are under.
Absolutely. We can share summaries and work alongside your GP or specialist.
Sometimes, and only when justified. Food foundations come first.
