Dr Camilla Stokholm

Associate Doctor

Dr. Camilla Stokholm is a Functional Medicine doctor, and best-selling author, who views health through the lens of the gut microbiome. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in Brighton (2016) and went on to qualify as a GP in Devon (2022), following hospital posts covering internal medicine, dermatology, psychiatry and orthopaedics. During her GP training Camilla was awarded a research scholarship in childhood obesity which ignited her passion for root-cause medicine. She went on to complete a lifestyle medicine accreditation followed by functional medicine training (AFMCP).

Camilla focuses on gut microbiome analysis, honing in on weight management, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Her consulting style is compassionate, gentle and collaborative, striving to empower patients with the knowledge and even recipes they need to truly thrive. She plans to gain further qualifications in functional medicine to eventually broaden her scope of practice. A love of holistic health is reflected in Camilla’s own lifestyle – she enjoys yoga, hiking and gardening but, above all else: food! Before medical school she toyed with the idea of becoming a cook instead; now she shares recipes in her book ‘What Your Doctor Eats’ and Instagram account @whatyourdoctoreats.
