Condition
Because your hormones, cycles and wellbeing deserve care that sees the whole picture
Women’s health is complex — not because women are “difficult,” but because your hormones, nervous system, immune system, gut, metabolism and emotional health are deeply interconnected. When one area is out of balance, symptoms can appear in many others.
You might have been told your symptoms are “normal,” “just hormonal,” “stress,” or “part of getting older.” But at Mosaic Medical, we believe that every symptom has a story — and those stories matter.
We support women with a full spectrum of hormonal and reproductive health concerns, including:
- PMS and cyclical mood changes
- Painful, heavy, irregular or absent periods
- Perimenopause and menopause symptoms
- Thyroid conditions (hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, postpartum changes)
- PCOS and metabolic-hormonal imbalance
- Endometriosis-related symptoms
- Fertility challenges (functional medicine support)
- Postpartum recovery, fatigue and hormonal shifts
- Sleep problems, low energy, brain fog and temperature dysregulation
- Skin problems related to hormones
- Weight changes linked to hormonal or metabolic factors
- Gut-hormone interactions (bloating, IBS, histamine-related issues)
Our Women’s Health team — Dr Andie Siggers, Dr Laura Hamilton-Grey and Dr Emily Lacey — combine deep medical expertise with a compassionate, integrative approach. They take time to listen to your story, understand your physiology and explore the root causes behind your symptoms, so you can feel informed, empowered and supported at every stage of life.
Why Women’s Health Is Often Overlooked or Misunderstood
Hormonal conditions are often treated in isolation — you’re given a pill for your periods, HRT for the menopause, thyroid medication for fatigue, or told to manage stress and “wait it out.”
And yet:
- Hormones do not act alone.
- The gut influences oestrogen metabolism.
- Stress affects ovulation, thyroid function and cycle regularity.
- Blood sugar levels impact PMS, menopause symptoms and cravings.
- Nutrient deficiencies can disrupt mood, energy and hormone signalling.
- Perimenopause can begin years before symptoms are recognised.
Because these systems are interconnected, treating only one piece often leads to partial or short-lived improvement.
This is where Functional Medicine makes a profound difference: it looks at the whole hormonal ecosystem, not just one hormone or one symptom.
Our Root-Cause Approach to Women’s Health
We Listen — deeply and without rushing
Your symptoms, history, birth control use, pregnancies, sleep, stress, trauma, life transitions, thyroid history, cycles and environment all matter.
Your doctor takes the time to understand the full story — often revealing patterns that have been overlooked for years.
We Investigate What’s Beneath Your Symptoms
We may recommend targeted testing to uncover what’s driving hormonal imbalance, including:
- Comprehensive hormone and thyroid testing
- Menopause and perimenopause assessments
- Nutrient, metabolic and inflammatory markers
- Gut health and microbiome analysis
- Adrenal and stress hormone rhythm
- Blood sugar and insulin sensitivity
- Genetic or epigenetic insights where relevant
The goal is clarity — no more guessing.
We Understand How Your Systems Interact
Your hormonal symptoms often arise from several interconnected pathways rather than a single imbalance. For example,
- Your gut processes and clears oestrogen
- Stress hormones influence your menstrual cycle and thyroid function
- Blood sugar fluctuations affect mood, cravings and temperature regulation
- Sleep and circadian rhythms affect cortisol and progesterone levels
- Inflammation impacts ovulation and the perimenopausal transition
By understanding how these systems communicate, compensate and influence one another, we uncover what has been missed — and design interventions that support your whole hormonal ecosystem, not just isolated symptoms.
We Build a Personalised Plan
Your plan may include:
- Personalised nutrition to support hormone metabolism and balance. Where appropriate, your doctor will also work closely with our Registered Nutritional Therapist to ensure you receive expert, integrated support for your nutrition.
- Gut-healing strategies to optimise hormone clearance and reduce inflammation
- Support for sleep, stress, mood and nervous-system regulation
- Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) where appropriate
- Thyroid medication review or optimisation (always responsibly and collaboratively)
- Supplementation tailored to nutrient and metabolic needs
- Lifestyle guidance around movement, rest, stress and circadian rhythm
- Cycle tracking or perimenopause navigation
No one-size-fits-all protocols — your plan reflects your biology.
We Support You Over Time
Hormones shift throughout life — puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause all bring changes.
We adapt your plan as your body’s needs evolve and walk with you through each stage.
Case Study:
Navigating Perimenopause with Clarity & Confidence
Shared with permission; details anonymised.
A woman in her early-forties came to us feeling overwhelmed by symptoms that no one had properly connected: poor sleep, anxiety, heavy periods, temperature swings, brain fog and increasing fatigue. She had been told her blood tests were “normal” and that she was “too young for menopause,” but she knew something had changed.
During her consultation, we explored her full timeline — including stress, family history, thyroid function, cycle patterns and previous contraceptive use. Advanced testing revealed:
- Early perimenopausal hormonal changes
- Iron and B-vitamin depletion
- Blood sugar instability contributing to mood and sleep disruption
- Gut microbiome issues affecting oestrogen metabolism
- Thyroid markers trending toward suboptimal
We built a personalised plan that included targeted nutrition, gut support, stress and sleep strategies, and carefully tailored HRT aligned with her symptoms and goals.
Within weeks, her sleep improved. Within months, she reported clearer thinking, stable mood, lighter cycles and more consistent energy. Most importantly, she understood what was happening in her body — and felt supported throughout the transition.

FAQs
Do I need a diagnosis before seeing you?
No. Many women come to us with symptoms but no diagnosis — especially during perimenopause or postpartum transitions.
Can you work alongside my GP or gynaecologist?
Yes. We collaborate with your existing clinicians to ensure safe, integrated care. Any medication or HRT changes are made responsibly and in partnership.
Do you prescribe HRT or thyroid medication?
Yes, where clinically appropriate. All prescribing decisions are made collaboratively and supported by a root-cause, whole-person assessment.
Is diet enough to fix hormonal imbalance?
Nutrition is powerful but rarely the whole solution. Hormones also depend on stress, sleep, genetics, gut health, metabolism and nervous-system regulation.
How long does it take to feel better?
Some women notice improvements within weeks. Others need deeper or longer-term work. We focus on sustainable, meaningful change.
